Yesterday I got to photograph Jennifer & Chris' wedding at Tom Scott Vineyards in Napa.

It was a gorgeous drive there through Napa's winding highways, surrounded by fields and wineries and all things pretty. When I pulled in I immediately started to plan my shots. In the distance I saw a beautiful new barn amidst acres of vineyards, but what grabbed my attention was the rusty old 1950s Ford pick up on the side of the gravel road. Thats where we ended up doing Jennifer & Chris' "First Look." The texture of the old rusty truck against Jennifers white dress and Chris' grey suit couldn't have looked any better.

Timing things perfectly, Jennifer & Chris then walked down the aisle and had a tear-filled ceremony as the sun set on the mountain tops behind them. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. I even teared up as Chris started to sniffle and remove his glasses to wipe his eyes during his vows. <3

Then there was an intimate and cozy reception inside the new barn, dinner, speeches and dancing. I managed to sneak them away a few times for some staged wedding photos like the one pictured above. These are the ones that people will frame and cherish for decades, and I love creating these types of images for couples. To round out the night there was a whisky bar, cigar bar and frozen banana desert bar. YUM!

Congrats you guys, have a blast in Greece on your honeymoon!

Winter is officially here!

Holy Moly. My friend and I went up to Tahoe on Monday for a few days of snowboarding. We ended up only riding a couple hours before the resort shut down due to conditions, then got caught in a blizzard Hwy 50 for 11 HOURS. Good thing we were in the van so we could nap a little. Otherwise it was seriously amazing up there. Jaw dropping gorgeousness around every corner.

The rivers and waterfalls were raging up there. RAGING. I can't wait to go for a hike in the Bay Area and see how our local areas are doing!

PS: Congrats to my newest couple Barbara & David! Ill be photographing their big day in Half Moon Bay later this year!

So, its 2017 you guys.

Its looking pretty amazing already, I must say. I really thought that the winter was going to be "dead", but I don't think Ive ever been busier. Between emails, editing and shooting, it sure feels like August around here. (Except for the weather, BRRRRRR!!!!!!!)

Id like to thank all the couples that have chosen me to photograph their 2017 wedding already:

Jennifer & Chris

Lindsay & Charles

Amanda & Chris

Cristina & Sean

Hannah & Scott

Layla & David

Madeleine & Stuart

Nancy & Jon

I have tons more meetings coming up. With any luck I'll be able to close out my 2017 bookings by March and send some future brides to my talented photographer friends.

Cheers everyone!
